MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of The Simpson Baber Foundation for the Autistic, Inc. is to educate the public on the spectrum of Autism and to provide educational, social and recreational opportunities to children with Autism.

To that end, the Foundation has created a speaker's bureau and self-help group, organized parties and sports teams, purchased and donated educational technology, funded field trips, sponsored research, and built a self-contained playground.

Our most ambitious project to date is the Busy Bee Center for Children with Autism. Housed at the Bayonne Medical Center, it is a first of its kind early intervention program for children as young as 18 months old. Co-sponsored by the Foundation, the Bayonne Medical Center and the Bayonne Board of Education, Busy Bee strives to take advantage of, and enlarge, the limited window of opportunity for the successful treatment of Autism.

Fulfilling this mission depends on the generosity of our sponsors and donors. This mission commits us to sustaining and expanding our programs and our donation base. Each of our sponsors and donors, like each member of our Foundation, has made a commitment to this mission. This is allowing us, and those who will join us, to make a difference in the life of a child with Autism.
